Steve Filiatrault of the Maine Live Lobsters had an enormous week at the plate and today was voted the Player of the Week by the Sub League 2.
For the week Filiatrault batted .480 (12-25) with 3 home runs and 9 RBIs.
This year Filiatrault has hit at a .388 pace and produced 12 RBIs, 3 home runs and scored 6 runs.

 | Monday, August 1st, 2022: Howard Tags Live Lobsters 5 Hits
Who needs batting practice? Daniel Howard of Tofield apparently doesn't as he battered Maine with a 5-hit outburst in today's game to lead his club to a 9-2 win.
He told the press after the game, "And I didn't even take BP today. I think I have been taking too many swings before game and decided to take a day off. Wow, this was really something... a 5 for 6 day... will my name be in the record books now?"
D. Howard flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off J. Unknown in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
Posting a .334 batting average to date, Howard has 8 home runs and 58 RBIs.

 | Wednesday, July 27th, 2022: Reykjavik Whitewashed by Johns
Maine rode the magical arm of Rick Johns in a 5-0 shutout win over Reykjavik. He shackled them on 3 hits and fanned 2. Almost to a man, the Reykjavik Red Squirrels said he had them guessing wrong all game long.
This season Johns has 8 wins and 16 losses and a 5.24 ERA.
