Jim Horton went on a week-long tirade against the Sub League 1 pitchers and was acclaimed the Player of the Week.
The Kansas first baseman was hot as a firecracker, exploding with a .538 average, 1 home run and 4 RBIs. For the week Horton bashed out 14 hits in 26 at-bats and scored 3 runs.
Batting .312 to date, Horton has 2 home runs and 12 RBIs. |
 | Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022: Taylor Holds Laurens Scoreless
Laurens bats were ice cold today at Ballpark of Glendale. Kansas's Nate Taylor chilled them down with a 6-0 victory. In a fine outing, the 25-year-old hurler allowed 2 hits while striking out 9 and walking 3.
Checking out his stats for the year, Taylor has racked up 16 wins and 6 losses in 25 starts, 3.59 ERA and struck out 169 batters in 190.1 innings.

Today at Ballpark of Glendale Nate Taylor baffled Hong Kong batters on 3 hits en route to a 2-0 shutout.
"He was able to keep hitters off balance and got the ball down," said the Tornadoes skipper about his starter's performance.
Taylor had 8 strikeouts and no walks in the game.
Up to now Taylor has recorded a record of 15-6. In 24 starts he has fanned 160 batters in 181.1 innings with a 3.77 ERA.
