"Believe it or not," said Nazareth right fielder Bryant Hughes, "they threw me some good pitches today."
That would be hard to believe for anyone who saw him dispose of the Haymakers with a great 5-hit performance.
"He made it look easy," said the Troy manager, who saw his team fall to the Nazareth Puzzle Pieces, 9-3. "Hats off to him!"
During the 2022 season Hughes has hit .370 with 1 home run and 9 RBIs. He has played in 54 games and scored 17 times.

 | Wednesday, August 10th, 2022: 5-6 Day for Días
It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Fernando Días. It was a very special day, one that many players never experience. But he did. Días went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Troy pitching.
When the dust settled on the diamond at Seafarers Stadium, he had a career 5-6 day and something he will long remember. And the Nazareth Puzzle Pieces had a 9-3 victory over the Haymakers.
"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview.
F. Días doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off J. Unknown in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.
This season Días is hitting .244 with 54 hits, 3 home runs, 22 RBIs, scored 26 runs and played in 63 games.

 | Wednesday, August 10th, 2022: Big Day with Bat: Sullivan 5-6
If the Troy Haymakers know how best to pitch the Nazareth third baseman Dustin Sullivan they didn't tip their hand today. Instead Sullivan showed he knew how best to hit them as he easily handled Haymakers pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Puzzle Pieces to a 9-3 triumph at Seafarers Stadium.
He told BNN reporters in the postgame interview, "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball."
The Troy skipper quipped, "Well, the next time we may just do that... blindfold him... and then pitch him differently, just to be sure."
D. Sullivan singled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
Sullivan is presently hitting at a .357 pace with 8 home runs and 76 RBIs. He has played in 120 games and scored 64 times.
