Mike Wilson dominated the day, pitching shutout ball against the Puzzle Pieces and holding them to 4 hits. He fanned 0 and walked 1 in spinning his 8-0 win.
"I can't take all the credit for this one," Wilson said. "I had some great defense behind me."
So far this season, Wilson has logged a 3-1 record with a 2.17 ERA. He has started 5 games, hurled 37.1 innings and registered 9 strikeouts and 13 walks. |
 | Monday, July 11th, 2022: Barrera Spins Shutout
It was a dismal game for the Long Trails with Arturo Barrera on the hill. The Lenior City starter was in top form and made it a long day for Burlington with a 6-0 shutout. He surrendered a total of 6 hits and piled up 7 strikeouts to pick up the win in a route-going effort.
To date Barrera is 2-4 in 7 starts with a 3.00 ERA and has 28 strikeouts in 51 innings.

 | Sunday, May 29th, 2022: 5-Hit Blitz by Nazareth's Park
It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Rich Park. It was a very special day, one that many players never experience. But he did. Park went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Burlington pitching.
When the dust settled on the diamond at Seafarers Stadium, he had a career 5-6 day and something he will long remember. And the Nazareth Puzzle Pieces had a 13-5 victory over the Long Trails.
"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview.
R. Park singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off J. Evans in the 9th.
Currently Park is batting .366 with 3 home runs and 24 RBIs.
