Today at Numba One Stadium the new champions capped off a great season with a 5-4 victory over the Tofield Sonics to win the series 4-2. It was their 1st title. Thursday, September 1st, 2022: Ramos Batters Tofield for 6 Hits It was a good day all around. Numba One whipped Tofield 13-3 and Jesús Ramos displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 6-hit day at Numba One Stadium. "Some days, lady luck is on your side," he modestly told BNN reporters after the game. His manager told the beat writers otherwise, "His hitting wasn't luck today. It's his solid approach to hitting. Jesús is focused, patient and he hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have." The 20-year-old left fielder for the Stunnas collected 6 hits in 6 at-bats to get his name in the record book. J. Ramos doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off K. Keiper in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off R. Damian in the 9th. In 2022 Ramos has produced 134 hits in 414 at-bats for a .324 average with 2 home runs and gotten on base at a .377 clip. Monday, August 1st, 2022: Numba One's Wilson Collects July Batting Honor Even though he is a newcomer to OTBA Single A, Jeffrey Wilson put up some good numbers in July and brought home the SL1 Batter of the Month trophy. He was one of Numba One's offensive leaders with a .342 average in 29 games. He also racked up 4 home runs, 27 RBIs and 23 runs scored. Wilson on the season is hitting .329 with 9 home runs.
