Saturday, April 29th, 2023: Yoshida Sizzles -- Smokes Hairy Palms for 5 Hits
Cabuyao center fielder Sadaharu Yoshida could do no wrong in today's 5-2 win over the Hairy Palms as he collected 5 hits.

"In every one of his at-bats things were in his favor... he got hitter's counts," the skipper of the Hairy Palms said to the press corps after the game.

Yoshida agreed. "The key is getting ahead. Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit. You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready."

S. Yoshida tripled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, tripled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

Yoshida is presently hitting at a .407 pace with no home runs and 13 RBIs. He has played in 27 games and scored 19 times.

Monday, April 24th, 2023: Big Bat Bags SL1 Best Player Award
It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Sub League 1, but last week Darrell Madison of the West Palm Hairy Palms reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week.

Madison rocked opposing pitching for a .500 average (10-20), 2 home runs and 8 RBIs to come away with the award.

So far in 2023, Madison is batting .329 with 5 home runs and 20 RBIs.

Saturday, July 30th, 2022: Booth Strong-Arms West Palm
Melvin Booth went the distance at Thunderclouds Ballpark today. The Spice Island hurler yielded 3 hits, walked 2 and had 7 strikeouts in the Smugglers 5-0 triumph over the West Palm Hairy Palms.

In 2022 Booth has compiled a 5-15 record with a 5.03 ERA.
