Pitchers who faced the Nebraska Daughters last week were happy to see Ryan Merrill in the rear view mirror. The 21-year-old shortstop was dubbed the Sub League 1 Player of the Week for a 6-game tear that saw him hit at a .462 clip.
For the week He also chalked up 12 hits in 26 at-bats, 1 home run, 9 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
This year Merrill is hitting at a .380 pace with 6 home runs and 23 RBIs. He has played in 26 games and scored 14 times. |
 | Friday, September 16th, 2022: Sub League 1 Best Pitcher Named
The Outstanding Pitcher Award for 2022 has been presented and the Sub League 1 winner is Troy Dillard of Nebraska.
"It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Dillard. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Daughters star told reporters.
Dillard excelled with an impressive 18-1 record in 25 starts. In 188.2 innings he yielded 149 hits and 36 walks, while striking out 154 and compiling a fine 2.24 ERA.

| Saturday, September 3rd, 2022: Daughters Sweep Mash
Nebraska gathered in its 1st Round 3 championship today and made it look easy. They swept the Dandridge Mash in straight games, winning the series 4-0.
The Daughters disposed of Dandridge 4-1 in the series finale at Swamp Angels Ballpark.
During the Sub League 1 Division 3 regular season Nebraska put up a 79-41 record and finished first.
