| Breaking News |  | Wednesday, May 10th, 2023: Moonshine Runners Rodrigues Tames Mildenhall
Maryville's Baldo Rodrigues dazzled the Nian Field crowd with a fine display of pitching. From the start, Rodrigues dominated the Mildenhall lineup en route to a sparkling 1-0 shutout. He finished with 10 strikeouts and no walks.
To date Rodrigues is 4-3 in 8 starts with a 1.90 ERA and has 65 strikeouts in 61.2 innings. |
 | Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023: Betancourt Stops Maryville Cold
Jorge Betancourt of the Bloomington Beavers put the clamps on the opposition and held the Maryville Moonshine Runners scoreless in a 1-hit whitewash.
"He's got some good stuff, but we should have done better than that," said the Maryville skipper after the 8-0 loss.
Betancourt was on target most of the game and finished with 4 strikeouts and no walks.
In 7 starts this season Betancourt has fashioned a 4-2 record and a 4.07 ERA. |
 | Sunday, April 30th, 2023: Moonshine Runners Lopez Out Rest Of Season
John Lopez will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and stated the Maryville second baseman could miss the remainder of the year. Lopez was injured while throwing the ball in the Moonshine Runners-Empire clash at Nian Field recently. Doctors said he has a damaged elbow ligament and would be out a minimum of 8 months.
This season Lopez is batting .143 with no home runs. He has scored 2 runs and driven in 5. |
