| Breaking News |  | Monday, August 1st, 2022: SL2 Choice for Batter of the Month is Miranda
Not known for his offensive prowess, Gilberto Miranda set the league afire in July and took home the Sub League 2 Batter of the Month award.
The New Jersey left fielder posted a steady .397 batting average, 8 home runs, 23 RBIs and 20 runs.
In his season totals Miranda has 10 home runs and a .383 batting average.

His teammates, fans, peers and even the BNN sportswriters all agreed that Gilberto Miranda was worthy of the Sub League 2 Player of the Week Award.
During the week the New Jersey left fielder compiled a .481 batting average (13-27) with 3 home runs, 10 runs batted in and scored 7 runs.
In the 2022 season Miranda is hitting .383 with 10 home runs.

The Beavers whipped the Nightdorks in a 12-0 whitewash today at Beavers Ballpark. It was a masterful outing for Jesús Vega, who shut out New Jersey on 4 hits.
So far in 2022 Vega has compiled a 5-4 record with a 2.44 ERA.
