Today at Chandler Grounds Jim Reynolds baffled MIddletown batters on 4 hits en route to a 4-0 shutout.
"He was able to keep hitters off balance and got the ball down," said the Repulse skipper about his starter's performance.
Reynolds had 4 strikeouts and 1 walk in the game.
In 13 starts this season Reynolds has gathered 4 wins while suffering 7 losses. He has pitched 83.2 innings, allowed 88 hits, struck out 25 and has a 4.30 ERA.

Damon Fowler was on fire today and the Bakersfield first baseman was a tough out, but it was all in vain as the Bull Sharks fell 9-8 to the Mansfields. For the game he went 5 for 5 against MIddletown in a fine hitting display.
"I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody... and some days they fall in. We just didn't get enough hits at the right time."
D. Fowler hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off J. Unknown in the 9th.
In 2022 Fowler is hitting .422 with 79 hits, 4 home runs, 31 RBIs, .457 OBP and has scored 33 runs.

Carlos Esquivel of the Mansfields pretty much bewildered opposing batters in June and was honored as the Sub League 1 Pitcher of the Month earlier today.
The MIddletown starter sparkled last month with a 4-0 record and 1.86 ERA. He made 5 starts, tossed 38.2 innings and had 12 strikeouts.
