| Breaking News |  | Monday, May 15th, 2023: League KO's Stallions-Riders Players with 6-Game Suspensions
If there wasn't a history between Cristo López of Lincoln College and Sherwood Brown of Fergus Falls College, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 6 games as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today.
"We're both really competitive," López said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it."
This season-to-date López has 1 home run and a .257 batting average.
In 6 starts this season Brown has gathered 3 wins while suffering 1 loss. He has pitched 43.2 innings, allowed 38 hits, struck out 20 and has a 3.30 ERA. |
 | Monday, May 15th, 2023: Harris Wins SL2 Player of the Week Prize
His lightning swing and solid bat took the Sub League 2 by storm. All week Loren Harris of the Laredo College Porcupines shocked opponents with an electrifying performance to capture the Sub League 2 Player of the Week honors.
The talented third baseman sparked his team by hitting .522 with 3 home runs, 7 RBIs and 9 runs scored.
This year Harris has hit 16 home runs and posted a .403 batting average. |

When it came to hitting the baseball, Juan Lara was in a class by himself in the Sub League 1 this past week. Nobody did it better.
The outstanding left fielder for Wichita College tagged opposing pitchers for a .500 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 11 hits in 22 at-bats, 2 homers, 5 runs scored and 10 RBIs.
In the current season, Lara has put up a .279 batting average with 43 hits, 12 home runs, 36 RBI and scored 36 runs. |
