 | Collazo and Campos Fight, Get Suspended Friday, August 22nd, 2031: Baseball confrontations occasionally get intense and sometimes that tension becomes too much and boils over into more than just words. This time it happened to High Point's Manuel Collazo and New Jersey's Javier Campos. The two were the main participants in a fight that cleared the benches. Today both were suspended by the league for 10 games for their aggressive actions. "I hope things settle down now," the manager of the Nightdorks said later. "There's no reason for us to be locked in a cycle of revenge. We all need to focus on baseball instead." This year Collazo has batted at a .171 pace with 31 hits, no home runs, 13 RBIs and scored 11 times. His record for the year is 7-3 in 18 starts and Campos has a 2.52 ERA. |
