 | Wednesday, June 2nd, 2021: Russel Swats #300 The Minneapolis 13-12 victory over Brooklyn was highlighted by Edward Russel's 300th career home run. His teammates congratulated him at home plate after he circled the bases. "I didn't see all of them out there," Russel laughed, "until I rounded third base." He added sheepishly: "It was only a home run. It's not like I won us a World Series!" In 5 at-bats the Beermen left fielder collected 4 hits in his historic game, scored 2 runs and had 7 runs batted in. In his career Russel has played in 2272 games, batted .253 with 300 home runs and 2046 base hits. |
